Our beautiful building

In 1827 the original owner Thomas Hippisley Jackson solicitor obtained the site by exchange from the Marquess of Exeter and afterwards built the property as offices for his own use. It was designed in the Gothic style with the front façade’s very distinctive central round headed window flanked by two point-headed doorways. Our main entrance was originally a through passage giving Thomas Jackson solicitor access to his office on his horse daily. The results from his Equestrian mode of transport can still be seen to this day in our stone hallway. The other door, formerly served the cellars which was in separate occupation and an area we have exciting plans for in the future, so watch this space…..
